We prefer to get involved early in a company’s life cycle, often providing the first institutional capital to a company. The companies that we find most attractive for investment have demonstrated the growth and profit potential of the business through the establishment of lasting customer relationships, the acceptance of the core product or service offering and the achievement of strong profit margins. These companies are seeking the right financial partner to propel the business to the next level. We invest exclusively in companies at this stage of development and possess the experience and capability to meaningfully contribute to the future growth and profitability of our portfolio companies.

Partner with Management
We are committed to partnering with the most talented management teams in the early middle market. We seek to augment management’s dedication and passion with the appropriate mix of capital and guidance. At Hunt Growth Capital, our bias is to preserve management continuity, electing to supplement existing resources as necessary to achieve growth objectives. We are also active and supportive board members. This “roll up the sleeves” strategy is intended to be supportive of and not disruptive to company management.

Maintain a Flexible Approach
We recognize that there are several catalysts for companies seeking an institutional capital partner and endeavor to work with management to find the optimal investment structure to meet a variety of objectives. Often successful companies require additional investment to finance rapid growth, launch a new product or service offering or improve balance sheet strength. We also frequently participate in opportunities in which business owners seek to diversify their investment in a business through a partial liquidation of their holdings. Lastly, we often see situations in which managers wish to purchase shares of an inactive partner or passive investor. We feel comfortable investing in all or a combination of the aforementioned circumstances.
