Mike Bierman

Managing Director

Mike Bierman joined the Hunt family of companies in 1994. In his role as
president of Hunt Growth Capital and as managing director of Hunt
BioVentures, Bierman is responsible for growth capital investments and life science investments. He currently serves as a director for Initiative Foods, MSP Corporation and Yucatan Foods.

Prior to joining Hunt, Bierman served as head real estate counsel of
Aetna Life Insurance in Hartford, Connecticut. Prior to Aetna, Bierman was a partner/shareholder in the law firm of Johnson and Gibbs, PC, where he specialized in corporate and real estate matters.

Bierman received his undergraduate degree in business administration, summa cum laude, from Hastings College and his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. He served as a law clerk to the
Honorable John F. Kilkenny, United States Court of Appeals for the
9th Circuit from 1977 to 1978.
